The end of one thing is the beginning of another

Saying goodbye to someone you care about is always hard. Today I had to do just that, since my teacher Jani Jaatinen just held his last tutorial, before embarking on new adventures and – undoubtedly – going on to teach and positively influence the lives of many others. He is going to Malaysia to set up a Yoga Shala of his own, so if any of you readers are based there, keep your eyes open for this wonderful yogi.

I fully agree with him leaving and realize that this is his calling in the world, but still I’m sad to see him go. But that’s life: as you close one door, another opens.

Jani: I’m so grateful for the time we’ve had together and truly wish you and your family the best. Thank you for teaching me that yoga is – above all other things – a question of opening your heart and letting God’s light shine in.  And teaching yoga is to spread that light. Namaste!

  1. Thank you for the kind words. I’m trying to see this as an exercise in letting go – but not sure whether it’s been that successful yet…

  2. I am sorry for your loss 😦
