Celebrities are often criticized for being self-absorbed and shallow. For some that can be true, but here’s a pair who seem to be meaning business: actors Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have launched a website to fight human trafficking.
Their campaign asks you to rethink the definition of a real man. The new definition is that real men don’t buy girls – they choose to cherish and protect them instead. Looking at the statistics, there’s good cause to do so: every minute, worldwide, 2 girls are being sold off to the sex trade. 2/3 of these bargains are being made in Eastern Europe.
