Girl’s day out

One cool chick striking a pose

Took the girls into town on Saturday. One of our Helsinki traditions is enjoying coffee and (enormous) cinnamon buns at Café Esplanad, one of the best coffee haunts in town. Alva and Svea were properly impressed with the Big City (nope, we don’t get out that much…).

I think I’m finally and slowly recovering from my post-move traumas and making an effort to be something other than stressed-out-deadbeat-angry mum… We actually had a jolly good time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves doing nothing much.

I bought the boots you saw in my previous post and the girls invested in some cool (!!) shades. Svea also bought an umbrella, which might come in more handy than shades (there’s Finnish summer weather for you…).  When going home, a unanimous vote was cast to do this much more often. Will try to keep that promise, promise!

Yep, they’re hard to forget… Have one and you won’t need dinner. For a week.

Ooooh, I do remember those cinnamonbuns!
